Blue River and Tree of Life Necklaces

My sister in law gave me these beads for Christmas. I'm not sure what the blue center bead is but the rest is faceted glass. I wire wrapped the pendant and this one is mine all mine. There is no way in the world I could give this up since I have no idea where she got the stone from.

This next one is a tree of life pendant with a specially treated chipped glass. I've had it for awhile but just not had time to work with it.

I've been a bad bad blogger

Really nothing interesting happened! The kids were at my moms all week. When I wasn't make jewelry I was trying to get fans for my facebook fan page. I made it to 100 and got my short URL http://www.facebook.com/mithrildreams if you wanna see.

I made another Tree of Life Pendant and a special pendant for my mom. I chewed out by brother and a everyone else for fighting over Health care. I think I may have shocked a few people...teehee.

Also my tutorial is a big hit! I've already made close to $100 on Jewelrylessons and that is with them taking a 50% cut. Crazy! Tomorrow I pick up the kiddos so it is life as usual. I have exactly one week before school. We need to get shoes, backpacks, and haircuts. I also did a proposal on the schools website so I may be trying to cram in web design at night.

Hmm, maybe more happened than I thought :)

Here is some of the jewelry I worked on this week.

Crazy Lace Agate Earrings

I made myself a pair of these I liked the combination so much :)

Inspiration

Here are the earrings that were inspired by that ring :)

I made a matching bracelet too but haven't taken the pictures yet.

One Thing leads to another

I made this ring as a practice ring. It lead me to make a really nifty pair of earrings. Well, I think they are nifty. I'll post them tomorrow when I get a chance.

Fun Jewelry

I've been working on new stuff for spring. Here are my favorites so far :)

Adjustable Flower Ring

Playing with resin mixing up the colors

My entry into a wire wrapping contest.

PMC a new adventure

We headed out to a bead store in Spring so that I could buy some photo xfer plates for my precious metal clay jewelry. With these plates you can take anything and turn it into a pendant/charm. Right now, I'm interested in turning thumb prints and children's art into pendants. Here is some examples of what is possible..

Not my art or pictures but i didn't want to hotlink and steal bandwidth. I plan on replacing them with my own work asap.

The only real downside I can see is that the materials and process are not cheap. It jacks the end cost up quite a bit. The small thumbprints go for sixty dollars and the children's drawings are priced from $80-$175 but it is a unique process and in my opinion totally cool!

They didn't have everything but are suppose to get it in soon.

Once again I have failed to blog

I am going to do better on this blog I promise...M'kay? A bunch of posts are happening right here right now :)

Feeling Better and Contest Entries

I've had a busy weekend with house related stuffs going on. I finally feel much better thanks to the giant prednisone doses I've been on for the last five days. Tomorrow, I start stepping the dose down so here is hoping that I stay feeling good.

I also worked on finishing my entries into the Rings and Things contest. I haven't entered any contests for a long time because I wanted to practice my techniques. One of my entries was done by Melanie and me. She came to me and asked if she drew jewelry would I make it. I was a little surprised but said "Sure!". I'm so proud of her for coming up with the design.

I called it Amazing Duets

Melanie's Drawing

The Necklace

I made up the next one on my own. It is wire wrapping, crochet, braiding with fancy jasper and African Jade.

Une Petit Papillon (The little butterfly)

Last Entry "Garden of Paradise" Beadweaving - I made this one up last April so I may have posted it before.

Anyways, it is late so I need to head to bed :)

Alright Then

I've updated most of my profile and I even have a picture. Go me or something :)

Wirewrapping & Nursing Necklaces

I've been learning some very different (to me) wire wrapping techniques. I downloaded a tutorial on an adjustable ring base and loosely followed the design to complete the first ring. I really love this because it is a jumping off point for several things that I have been wanting to try.

I used light yellow beads and the swirls to decorate this ring.

This one was done the same way but I used some glass pearls I had on my bead tray. I wanted to create a different look without the swirls. I like this one the best so far.

I also redesigned a Nursing Necklace for a customer with some of my new findings.

Off to play some more :)

Bracelets and Necklaces ...OH MY :)

Been awhile since I posted jewelry :)

I've been making a million of these single bead necklaces. I just like the simplicity of them.
