I also have a bunch of stuff half off on etsy. I'm trying to clear out my older inventory to make room for the new stuff.

Also, this is the photo I am submitting to the contest

Here are the last few things I've listed on Etsy. I have about three more and then I will be taking pictures of my next lot. I also have a bunch of seriously awesome rings that Aunt B made that I need to list.

So far I put these up on etsy: http://mithrildreams.etsy.com

This I LOVE... I started with a clear resin and let it sit. Then cut out a small square of butterfly fabric and painted it with resin so it wouldn't bubble. I poured the rest of the resin and tinted it yellow. I have secured a sterling silver bail. It reminds me of some of the work the glass fusers can do.

I just watch the second pirates movie and was inspired.

A Purple Octopus...The neat thing about this one is how it changes colors in the light

Hopefully this post doesn't sound to bad. I'm on painkillers and ambien till I can get to my dentist.

Octopus and other Pendants

I finally got my store completely setup and ready to use. I even made a LJ coupon (LJMD07) that gives a 15% discount the only thing left is to test it. If you want to see it, is at http://shop.mithrildreams.com. If you notice any glaring errors, please let me know.

This is the stuff I listed on Etsy this week..

Butterflies in Amber

Butterflies in Amber

Allen found the pendant in Old Town Spring. I was shopping at Aunties Beads http://www.auntiesbeads.com/ for unicorn charms. I fell in LOVE.

New Jewelry

I've been working on quite a few things. Wednesday I got to use the molds I made last week.

I made 12 various resin octopus pendants that are still curing. The weather has been odd so they are taking forever to harden up. The other pendants are mostly cured completely so I know my mix was good.

I've been doing lots of experiments with polymer clay and resin. Oh the possibilities, I'm already having too much fun mixing colors and embedding different things. Most are in various stages of completion but the ones I did get done I posted on Etsy for sale.

This was formed by hand to see if I could make a mold of it. It didn't have the right angles or something but it made a pretty nice pendant on its own.

Wirewrapped Links with Purple Fire Polished Beads. I am becoming a big fan of fire polished because it is cost effective and it looks really nice.

This was molded from the metal stamping. I decided to paint it when I didn't like how it looked after curing. I'm not all the way happy with this one so I put it up with a good price to move.

This was fun but took forfreeking every. I wire wrapped the chain and beads and then each purple bead and green leaf was wire wrapped. I worked on it in my free time and it took about a week to complete.

My first octopus pour into a mold. I worked this one with UTEE because it is the hardest to work with. I knew if the UTEE worked, then the resin would be easy. The really nice part is that it is lightweight. I do like how this one came out.

Embedded shells from our trip to Florida. I had so many so I figured a pendant would be a good way to get into Spring/Summer.

This one surprised me at how well it turned out. I was going to paint the grey clay but the more I looked at it the more I liked it just like it was. So I polished it and sealed it. My best one yet.

New Etsy Listings

I listed these three today. The pictures are click able if you want to see the listing.

Romance in Bloom is for a polymer clay challenge. I made this for the February PCAGOE challenge. I

Red Rose Pendant Necklace. This is done in oil paints. I had no idea of how different oils differ from acrylics. The clean up is messier but the end result is worth it!

I wanted to start doing some original octopus pendants. Here is the 2nd one I made. I still have some finishing touches to put on the first one.

Mother's Bracelet, Earrings Galore

I finished my mothers bracelet today after several failed attempts. I swear I was beginning to think this thing was cursed but I have been trying to make a flower pattern without any directions. I really love it...so me! I am going to post a picture sell custom ones a little closer to mothers day.

This is how I explained it to A. The red is the kids color and they surround amethyst which is my color. A's light green color supports us on either side. I put the kids initials instead of their names. The only thing I am going to change is the clasp. I am going to a lobster claw because I want it to fit more snug. All and all I am so happy with this one :)

New Necklace

These images are bigger than what I will be using. I had already edited them so I went ahead and used what I had. My online store is almost set up. I am looking forward to skipping the Etsy fee's. Now, If I could figure out how to skip the Paypal onces I'd be set. I am going to use a livejournal code in my store so that I can give a discount to anyone who comes over from LJ or repeat customers.
